HOME VIDEO: IT’S ALL FROZEN

On the Nielsen VideoScan First Alert top twenty list of DVD and Blu-ray Disc sales for last week, one film generated more sales than the other 19 combined. In fact it generated three times as many sales as all the others.That film is Frozen, which sold 3.2 million copies on the first day alone. Disney also had the No. 2 film on the list — Saving Mr. Banks, which sold only 6 percent of Frozen‘s total. The debut of the two Disney titles pushed American Hustle, which had held he top spot during the previous two weeks, to No. 3. American Hustle moved into the No. 1 slot on Home Media magazine’s rental chart, however, pushing The Hunger Games: Catching Fire to No. 2. Frozen managed only a third-place finish on the rental chart.
