SNL: HOW TO BE UP WHILE BEING DOWN

NBC’s Saturday Night Live remained the top-rated show on television Saturday, beating everything that telecast during primetime. However, the show, hosted by Girls star Lena Dunham drew the second-lowest ratings of the season. The show had a mixed reception from critics. The Los Angeles Times commented that Dunham “threw herself into her scenes and proved she has a comic sense of timing and capability beyond the gawky moments that make up Girls.” But industry blogger Nikki Finke tweeted after the show, “Lena Dunham demonstrates she can’t act, can’t mimic, can’t hold live audience. One of worst hosts of one of worst SNL shows.”
