FROZEN RETURNS TO NO. 1 ON VIDEO CHART

April 25, 2014 by · Leave a Comment

One day after it was reported that the Frozen soundtrack had posted its 11th week as No. 1 on Billboard magazine’s Top 200 chart, Nielsen VideoScan’s First Alert reported that the home video of the movie had returned to No. 1 on its chart, too. Easter shopping was cited as the principal reason for the surge in sales in both instances. Among new releases, Universal’s Ride Along debuted at No. 2 and the animated The Nut Job claimed fourth place. Last week’s chart-topper, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, slipped to third place. On Home Media Magazine’s rental chart for the week Warner Bros.’ Grudge Match topped the list, followed by Universal’s Homefront and Paramount’s The Wolf of Wall Street.
