As the broadcast season began to wind down last week, ABC laid claim to the title of the No. 1 network among the 18-49 network, while CBS won again with total viewers. The most-watched show of the week was CBS’s NCIS with 16.9 million viewers, closely followed by the network’s The Big Bang Theory with 16.7 million. The evening news programs lined up in the usual order with NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams on top with 8.4 million viewers, followed by ABC World News with Diane Sawyer with 7.6 million. The CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley placed third with 6.5 million viewers. For the week overall, CBS led with an average 5.2 household rating and a 9 share. ABC placed second with a 4.6/8. NBC followed in third place with a 3.5/6, while Fox trailed with a 2.6/4.
