CBS MOST-VIEWED NETWORK, BUT TIED WITH ABC AMONG 18-49 DEMO

CBS attracted a third more viewers than second-place ABC last week, but the two networks tied for the most viewers in the 18-49 age group, according to final figures from Nielsen. CBS won the week with 8.8 million viewers, well ahead of ABC’s 6.6 million and third-place NBC with 6.1 million. Fox fell far behind with 3.9 million. CBS’s NCIS returned to the top of the Nielsen list with the most total viewers, 17.3 million. The Monday edition of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars placed second with 15.9 million. The Big Bang Theory, although drawing more viewers — 16.1 million — placed third, inasmuch as more people are watching TV on Thursday night when TBBT airs than on Monday, when DWTS airs. CBS’s Blue Bloods captured fourth place with 14.8 million viewers, wile its Blue Bloods landed in fifth with 11.1 million.
