Walt Disney Studios’ Frozen has remained at the top of the DVD and Blu-ray disc charts for yet another week. Last week the animated movie took the top spot for the seventh time in eight weeks on the Nielsen Videoscan First Alert DVD and Blu-ray charts. A direct-to-video release, Warner’s Son of Batman, came in second, while the crowd-funded Veronica Mars, also from Warner Bros, placed third. On Home Media‘s rental chart, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug easily took over the top spot now that its 28-day embargo from such sites as Netflix and Redbox has ended. The Legend of Hercules held on to the No. 2 spot its sophomore week in rental stores, while the previous week’s top rental, Universal Studios’ 47 Ronin, slipped to No. 3.
