Neighbors Raid-ed the box-office over the weekend, snuffing out Spider-Man. The raunchy comedy starring a blubbery Seth Rogen and the shirtless-award-winning Zack Efron, took in far more than analysts had predicted –$51 million, according to studio estimates, while The Amazing Spider-Man 2 fell 60 percent in its second week to $37.2 million. And while Neighbors was expected to attract millions of beer-guzzling young men, it actually pulled in more women (53 percent) than men, which says something about the rewards for another kind of six pack. Nevertheless the girls-night-out movie The Other Women also remained solid with $9.3 million for the weekend, bringing its total domestic gross to $61.3 million. The faith-based Heaven Is for Real also remained strong in fourth place with $7 million and a four-week tally of $75.2 million. Captain America: The Winter Soldier rounded out the top five with $5.6 million in its sixth week. Its domestic gross now stands at $245 million. Two newcomers drew few ticket buyers over the weekend. Moms’ Night Out from Sony took in just $4.2 million, while Legends of Oz: Dorothy’s Return managed to bring in just $3.7 million.
