TWO TALENT SHOWS DOMINATE MONDAY VIEWING

Demonstrating that there’s still life in the old talent-contest format, Monday night was dominated by them. The big winner as the most-watched show of the night was ABC’s Dancing with the Stars, which averaged 13.4 million viewers. But NBC carried the day among the 18-49 demographic group with a total of 10.4 million viewers, most of which were in the age group that advertisers court. Fox’s revival of 24 drew so-so ratings with 6.4 million tuning in — but that was a far cry from the gigantic numbers that the original series commanded. NBC easily took the 10:00 hour with the season finale of The Blacklist, which drew 10.5 million viewers.
