For years, ratings for daytime television shows have been eroding as viewers tend to watch primetime shows that they have previously recorded on their DVRs. Now, the Daytime Emmy Awards presentations won’t even be airing on any of the broadcast or cable networks. This year’s awards — the 41st annual ceremony — will be available for viewing as a streaming live webcast beginning at 8:00 p.m. on June 22. For the past two years, it had been carried by Turner Broadcasting’s HLN, where last year it averaged under a million viewers. Two years earlier, when it had been carried by CBS, the telecast drew 5.4 million.
