In the U.S,. Sunday night ratings were dominated by the fifth and final game of the NBA championship, televised by ABC. Preliminary reports indicated that the game between the Miami Heat and the San Antonio Spurs drew 15.6 million viewers, overwhelming everything else thrown against it. The game in fact nearly doubled the combined ratings of all the other networks in every hour from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. During that period, CBS averaged 3.2 million viewers’ NBC 3.0 million; and Fox 1.8 million. Earlier in the evening: Jimmy Kimmel Live: Game Night on ABC drew 6.54 million viewers, but was beaten out among total viewers by CBS’s 60 minutes with 7.29 million. The Kimmel special, however, was clearly the choice among the 18-49 age group, capturing a 2.1 rating and an 8 share to 60 Minutes’ 0.8/3.
