Preliminary reports indicated that the game between the Miami Heat and the San Antonio Spurs drew 15.6 million viewers, overwhelming everything else thrown against it. The game in fact nearly doubled the combined ratings of all the other networks in every hour from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. During that period, CBS averaged 3.2 million viewers’ NBC 3.0 million; and Fox 1.8 million. Earlier in the evening: Jimmy Kimmel Live: Game Night on ABC drew 6.54 million viewers, but was beaten out among total viewers by CBS’s 60 minutes with 7.29 million.
