Many of those princesses who in Disney movies have been kissed by their fathers and kissed again by handsome princes — often in their sleep — have reappeared in a series of posters created by artist Saint Hoax. In the ones featuring the princesses and their fathers, the posters are captioned: "Forty-six percent who are raped are victims of family members. It’s never too late to report your attack." The posters are titled "The Princest Diaries." Hoax told the Huffington Post that the posters were inspired by a friend’s account of how she was raped by her father when she was just seven years old. "That story shocked me to my core," she wrote in an email. "As an artist/activist I decided to shed light on that topic again in a new form. I used Disney princess because it’s a visual language that my targeted audience would be attracted to."
