Robert Downey Jr., who seemed to have pushed the self-destruct button on his career in the late ’90s following a series of drug-related arrests, has emerged for the second year in a row as the top earner on Forbes magazine’s list of actors’ income. The magazine said that Iron Man Downey’s $75 million in compensation towered above the earnings of other actors — $23 million more than Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, No. 2 on the list with $52 million. Numbers three to five on the list were, in order, Bradley Cooper with $46 million; Leonardo DiCaprio with $39 million, and Chris Hemsworth with $37 million. Forbes said its list was compiled from talks with "producers, lawyers, agents and other in-the-know folks." It added, "We do not deduct for taxes, agent fees or the other costs of being a celebrity."
