Warner Bros. TV, which produces CBS’s The Big Bang Theory, confirmed today (Wednesday) that production for the fall season has been postponed due to an impasse in contract negotiations with the show’s five stars, Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting, Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar. In a statement, the studio said, "Due to ongoing contract negotiations, production on The Big Bang Theory — which was originally scheduled to begin today — has been postponed." Reports have indicated that the stars are asking "Friends-like" salaries. (The Friends cast each received $1 million per episode in their final season.) Currently they reportedly receive $325,000 per episode. The show is due to return to the air on Monday nights beginning September 25 before returning to Thursday nights in October following CBS’s limited run Thursday Night Football.
