All three episodes of CBS’s Big Brother headed up the list of top television shows watched by the key 18-49 age group last week, while a repeat of CBS’s NCIS took the top spot among total households, followed closely by NBC’s two editions of America’s Got Talent. Ratings for the network evening newscasts ticked up a bit as they focused on the unrest in Ferguson, Missouri. However, even though it was Diane Sawyer’s penultimate week as anchor of ABC World News, her ratings failed to close in on those for NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams as they had the previous week. Williams’s newscast attracted 8.02 million viewers, while Sawyer’s attracted 7.33 million. The CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley trailed with 6.52 million. For the week overall, CBS remained on top with an overall household rating of 3.7 and a 7 share. NBC was close behind with a 3.2/6, followed by ABC with a 2.7/5. Fox once again trailed far behind with a 1.6/3. It in fact was edged out by Spanish-language Univision with a 1.7/3.
