"I’m not retiring," Craig Ferguson, host of CBS’s Late Late Show, told Larry King on King’s Internet show, Larry King Now on Wednesday. "That was the thing that really got me. When I said I am done doing this show, and everyone said on the Internet and stuff, ‘He has announced his retirement,’ and I was like, ‘No I didn’t! I just said I wasn’t going to be doing this show!’" Ferguson was vague about what sort of show he planned to do in the future, and King, whose strong point is not follow-up questions, did not press him on the matter, even when Ferguson remarked, "I don’t want to stay and keep doing the same thing over and over again, I want to do the same thing over and over again somewhere else." Those remarks seemed to suggest that Ferguson was unhappy with the powers-that-be at CBS, and when King asked him whether he would do another talk show, he responded, "I would do another one. I just don’t want to do this one anymore."
