REPORT: FERGUSON TO MOVE FROM LATE NIGHT TO EARLY EVENING

"I would do another [talk show]. I just don’t want to do this one anymore." That’s what Late Late Show host Craig Ferguson told Larry King in an interview last month. Well, now it appears that Ferguson, who has hosted the CBS late show for the past ten years, will indeed host another talk show — on Tribune stations during the "primetime access" period of 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. According to Daily Variety, the show will launch in the fall of 2015, thereby giving Ferguson, who steps down from his CBS show in December, an eight-month vacation. (It’ll be a vacation from talk shows only; he’s due to host a game show, Celebrity Name Game, which is due to launch next month). Meanwhile, CBS is remaining mum on its replacement plans for Ferguson on the Late Late Show.
