WARNER’S BOOKS THEATERS FOUR YEARS IN ADVANCE FOR ANIMATED FARE

It takes three to seven years to produce an animated movie, something that Warner Bros. executives must have had in mind when they scheduled two such movies for four years and five years into the future. The studio did not indicate whether it planned in that time frame to offer a sequel to The Lego Movie which earned $257 million at the box office after it was released in February. (It does have a sequel already in the works scheduled for release in 2017.) It lists only Untitled Warner Animated Film for the May 25, 2018 release and a second such title for a May 30, 2019 release.
