FOX TV TO BUY MORE FOX SHOWS

Executives at 21st Century Fox felt frustrated by former entertainment chief Kevin Reilly’s failure to buy a single Fox-produced programming for the Fox TV network, the Wall Street Journal reported today (Monday). The network is now being overseen by Gary Newman andDana Walden, chairmen of the Twentieth Century Fox Television production studio, and they have indicated their intent to buy more Fox-produced series for the network. Under Reilly, Newman said, "We had become independant of each other. Now that is about to change." He added that as other networks look to own more of their own content, it is crucial that there be a strong pipeline between Twentieth Century Fox TV and Fox. "Not being aligned was a disadvantage for both sides," he said.
