SCORSESE DIRECTS STARS IN "MOST EXPENSIVE CORPORATE VIDEO"

September 2, 2014 by · 1 Comment

For the first time, Robert De Niro, Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt will be appearing in a film together directed by Martin Scorsese and written by Terrence Winter (The Wolf of Wall Street, Boardwalk Empire). However, the London Independent, which disclosed the project, observed that the film is not destined for movie theaters. It is instead the "world’s most expensive corporate video" — for Studio City a new $2.3-billion resort and casino being built in Macau. The project is headed by Australian media billionaire James Packer, who has partnered with Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment to produce the film, according to the Independent, which cited no sources. The newspaper observed that the project "could be a warm-up for a long-gestating Frank Sinatra biopic which Scorsese plans to direct. Pitt has been linked to the lead role with Scorsese lining up De Niro as Dean Martin."
