Dracula Untold,, which opened overseas a week earlier than it did domestically, became the top-grossing film abroad this weekend, selling an estimated $33.9 million worth of tickets in 42 markets (up from 17 markets a week ago) and bringing its foreign total to $62.6 million. Once again, China alone accounted for a sizable chunk of the overseas market as the debut of Guardians of the Galaxy in that market brought in $26.6 million. With an additional $1.4 million trickling in from other countries where Guardians is ending its run, the foreign total for the movie has now reached $361 million and its worldwide tally to $667.1 million. The film has yet to open in Italy, the last overseas market for it to conquer. In third place overseas was the David Fincher feature Gone Girl, which counted $27 million from 52 markets. The No. 1 market for the film was the U.K., where box-office sales came to $5 million, off a tiny 5 percent from its debut last week.
