FOR GUARDIANS, IT’S THE TENTH WEEK IN THE TOP TEN

Guardians of the Galaxy has now spent ten weeks in the top ten box-office listing, placing ninth this week with $3 million. It also added $2.4 million to its overseas gross this weekend to bring its foreign total to $330.4 million — with China not yet included. (It opens there on Friday.) Worldwide, it has now grossed $653.8 million. According to Box Office Mojo, it now ranks as the second-highest-grossing original superhero movie doestically, behind only the original 2002 Spider-Man.
