Monday night is taking over from Thursday the distinction of being television’s most-watched night. Final figures released late Tuesday indicated that in the 8:00 p.m. hour alone, CBS’s The Big Bang Theory attracted 15.75 million viewers; ABC’s Dancing with the Stars, 12.74 million; NBC’s The Voice, 12.41 million; and Fox’s Gotham, 6.36 million. Then, late Tuesday, Nielsen released preliminary figures for ESPN’s coverage of the Monday Night Football game — in which the Seattle Seahawks’ beat the Washington Redskins. They showed that the game averaged 13.12 million viewers, peaking in the 9:00 half-hour with 14.68 million viewers.
