REUTERS TO LAUNCH "PERSONALIZED" NEWS SERVICE

Yet another news organization will be attempting to start an online video news service. The latest to enter the ring is Reuters, which said over the weekend that it plans to introduce Reuters.TV early next year, supported by both advertisements and subscription fees. The service, it said, will provide "personalized" video to users. Subscriibers will receive a package of videos that will be tailored to their location, desired length and interests, Reuters said. Some of the content may include live coverage. It will initially be available only on Apple’s iPhones and iPads.
