X-MEN SEQUEL DEBUTS ATOP VIDEO SALES CHARTS

Another fall week, another summer blockbuster at the top of the video sales lists. Twentieth Century Fox’s X-Men: Days of Future Past, which earned $233.9 million during its domestic run and $746 million worldwide debuted in first place on the Nielsen VideoScan First Alert DVD and Blu-ray Disc sales charts. Placing second was DreamWorks Animation’s Mr. Peabody & Sherman, which disappointed with $111.5 million in domestic sales and $272.9 million worldwide after its release in March. On Home Media magazine’s rental chart, Warner Bros.’ Godzilla grabbed first place after waiting out the 28-day embargo period imposed by the studio on Netflix and Redbox.
