He may have lost in Tuesday’s Congressional election, but Clay Aiken has won a new contract with cable’s Esquire Network, which plans to air a four-part documentary series about his North Carolina campaign, the Hollywood Reporter reported today (Wednesday). The trade publication disclosed that the series, from directors Simon and Jonathan Chinn, will feature footage shot during Aiken’s campaign from his announcement in February and, in the words of THR, will "provide an intimate look at the hope of victory and, ultimately, the disappointment of defeat." "Ultimately, this series is a raw and honest look at American politics through an incredibly unique and compelling candidate," said Esquire Network head of original programming Matt Hanna.
