Farrah Fawcett, remembered best for her role in the 1970s series Charlie's Angels, has died at age 62 after a long and public battle with cancer. In a statement, her longtime companion Ryan O'Neal said, "Although this is an extremely difficult time for her family and friends, we take comfort in the beautiful times that we shared with Farrah over the years and the knowledge that her life brought joy to so many people around the world." She had recently been the subject of an NBC documentary that employed considerable footage from a video diary that Fawcett shot herself as she searched for a cure. "I do not want to die of this disease," she said at one point in the film. "So I say to God, 'It is seriously time for a miracle.'
