ANDY GRIFFITH DEAD AT 86

Andy Griffith, the venerated star of two television classic series, The Andy Griffith Show and Matlock, died at his home in Dare County, North Carolina this morning at age 86. Griffith’s death was announced by Bill Friday, a former president of the University of North Carolina and a close friend of the actor.
