Alice in Wonderland is expected to remain at the top of the box office for the third weekend in a row, with ticket sales around $30-35 million, according to most analysts. Three films are opening wide against it, with Sony’s romantic comedy The Bounty Hunter given the best chance of making any kind of a splash. The Los Angeles Times observed that unlike most rom-coms, Hunter, which stars Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler, has been generating as much interest among men as women. It’s expected to open with around $20 million. A second film, the sci-fi thriller Repo Men, has been sitting on Universal’s shelves for more than two years, which should give potential moviegoers some idea of what the studio really thinks about it. For the family crowd, Fox is taking the wraps off Diary of a Wimpy Kid, which is expected to earn around $10 million.
