ANOTHER MSNBC HOST IS SHOWN THE DOOR

MSNBC continues to have problems with its 3:00 p.m. hosts. Only a week ago it booted David Schuster out of the time period after Schuster taped a pilot for a CNN series without telling his bosses. Now Donny Deutsch, who has been filling in for Schuster, has reportedly been canned after criticizing fellow MSNBC host Keith Olbermann, linking the liberal commentator with conservatives Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck as “angry” broadcasters and seeming to agree with a guest on his radio show that Olbermann was among “the biggest hate mongers on television.” In an interview with the TVNewser website, Deutsch remarked, “For whatever reason, they decided they didn’t want to go with [his show] the rest of the week.” And, in an interview with the New York Times, Olbermann commented, “What I know of what happened is this: [MSNBC President] Phil Griffin phoned me yesterday enraged at what was on that show and I didn’t disagree with him.”
