“CLASH OF THE TITANS” RULES OVERSEAS

Overseas, Clash of the Titans claimed the undisputed box-office championship for the second week in a row, taking in a whopping $53 million in 31 markets, according to trade reports. And while Date Night opened in 35 countries, relatively few people made it their date-night choice. The film earned just $7.1 million, landing it in sixth place in the foreign market. Second place went to How to Train Your Dragon, which brought in $23.7 million in 55 countries. Another 3D film, Alice in Wonderland, finished in third place with $19 million from 51 countries., bringing its overseas winnings to $461.5 million after six weeks.
