“KICK-ASS” LIKELY TO PUMMEL RIVALS THIS WEEKEND

Box office analysts are predicting that the R-rated comedy Kick-Ass will do just that this weekend to win its clash with Clash of the Titans, which has held the lead for the past two weekends but which is expected to slip to second place this time around. Another R-rated comedy, Death at a Funeral is expected to do battle with holdovers Date Night and How to Train Your Dragon for third place. According to the forecasters, Kick-Ass will likely earn $25-30 million, while the other mentioned contenders will each take in around $15-20 million, according to the published projections.
