FINAL EPISODE OF “LOST” TO LAST 2 1/2 HOURS

Recalling the 2 1/2 hour-long finale of M*A*S*H, the most-watched scripted show in TV history, the final episode of Lost, it was announced Tuesday, will run 2 1/2 hours when it airs on Sunday, May 23. The episode, titled “The End,” is also similar to M*A*S*H‘s, which was “Goodbye, Farewell and Amen.” The additional length will require ABC’s local stations, both owned and affiliated, to give up their 11:00 p.m. newscasts. The finale will segue directly into a special. titled Jimmy Kimmel Live: Aloha to Lost.
