FOX WINS ON SPEED

Fox’s coverage of NASCAR’s Coca-Cola 600 from the Charlotte Motor Speedway topped the ratings Sunday night as the auto race averaged 6.2 million viewers. On a night of comparatively light viewing, the NASCAR race, won by Kurt Busch, came out ahead in every half hour from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. among the overall audience as well as adults 18-49. But ABC’s decision to repeat two hours of The Bachelorette beginning at 9:00 p.m. on Sunday crashed and burned; it drew just 2.5 million viewers. A rerun of CBS’s Cold Case took over first place at 10:00 p.m. with 5.6 million viewers.
