Six seasons of story-line questions and uncertainties were not fully resolved when the 2 1/2-hour series finale of Lost aired Sunday night — a planned DVD will supposedly provide further solutions — but the episode did keep viewers glued to their sets from 9:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., with the final half-hour, which aired outside of the normal primetime schedule, attracting 15.31 million viewers. All five half hours ranked No. 1 in the ratings and averaged 13.49 million viewers. The show also ranked No. 1 among adults 18-49. Earlier in the evening, a Lost clip show, which aired between 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., also was the top-rated show in its time periods with an average of 9.85 million viewers. Meanwhile, on NBC, the season finale of Celebrity Apprentice, won by Brett Michaels, also drew solid ratings for the evening, averaging 9.31 million viewers.
