MONDAY A DREAM FOR “INCEPTION”

July 21, 2010 by · 1 Comment

Predictions that Warner Bros.’ Inception would perform strongly in midweek — as moviegoers returned to theaters showing it to sort out its plot — appeared to be on the mark Monday as the film earned another $10.19 million to bring its total after just four days to $73 million. The film now seems certain to top $100 million before it goes into its second weekend, facing the debuts of Salt, starring Angelina Jolie, and the family film Ramona and Beezus. In reporting the Inception results, Box Office magazine commented on its website, “Word-of-mouth is obviously spreading very quickly for Christopher Nolan’s mind-bender, making it a true must-see event.”
