MOST NETWORK TV SHOWS NOW ONLINE

Broadcast network executives continue to add to the number of television shows being made available online. According to a Broadcasting & Cable study released Wednesday, about 90 percent of last season’s shows of all types ended up online. In reporting the figure, Broadcasting & Cable observed on Wednesday, “Having all those shows available online for free may gladden Web users. But it could weaken the networks’ case when they ask cable and satellite companies to pay for the right to retransmit the programs.”
