PETER JACKSON GOES CASTING FOR “HOBBIT” PLAYERS

While the future of MGM remains an enigma, producer-director Peter Jackson nevertheless is continuing to make preparations for the production of The Hobbit, which is expected to be MGM’s first production when and if it ever goes back into business. (It is producing the film with Warner Bros.) The Hollywood Reporter reported today (Wednesday) that New Zealand-based Jackson, who is co-producing The Hobbit, has been on a casting trip for the movie in Los Angeles and plans additional stops in New York and London.
