This continues to be quite a year in “life with Elizabeth,” as one of Betty White’s early TV series was titled. On Saturday, the 88-year-old actress received a creative arts Emmy Award for best guest actress in a comedy series for her recent appearance as host of Saturday Night Live. She did not appear at the awards ceremony. Neil Patrick Harris did — as a presenter and presentee, taking home a trophy for best guest actor in a comedy series (Glee). The top winner in the creative arts ceremony was — once again — HBO, with 17 awards — seven for the Steven Spielberg-produced The Pacific. ABC received 15 awards and Fox, nine. CBS, NBC, and PBS each received seven. E! Channel is scheduled to broadcast the ceremony on Friday, while NBC will air the 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards live on Sunday.
