AEROSMITH’S BIGGEST HIT? PERRY BUMPS TYLER INTO CROWD

Although officially Fox is saying that the new judging panel for American Idol won’t be announced until mid-September, E! Entertainment’s Ted Casablanca reported today (Wednesday) that at least one judge has been signed — Aerosmith frontman, Steven Tyler. Moreover, the gossip columnist suggested, Tyler apparently signed for far less than the reported $10 million per year that was offered Jennifer Lopez. Casablanca, who cited “a very inside music source,” said that “Tyler probably would have gotten away with anything since he hasn’t been causing that much of a fuss.” Meanwhile, all of the talk about Tyler joining Idol may not be sitting well with other Aerosmith members. The website TMZ posted video of guitarist Joe Perry bumping Tyler into the crowd during a performance in Toronto Tuesday night. Returning to the stage, Tyler announced, “That won’t be happening again.”
