AMERICANS CONTINUE TO LOSE CONFIDENCE IN TV NEWS

According to a new Gallup Poll, only 22 percent of the American people have “a great deal” or “quite a lot” of confidence in TV news. That’s an enormous drop from 1993 when the figure was 46 percent or even from 1999 when it was 34 percent. The poll also disclosed that twice the number of liberals and Democrats had confidence in TV news than conservatives and Republicans.
