Several of the movies that performed strongly as cable video-on-demand offerings during the week of July 26-August 1 were flops at the box office, figures released today (Monday) by VOD tracker Rentrak indicate. Although the No. 1 film on the top-ten list, Clash of the Titans, was a blockbuster hit, with $163.2 million in theatrical ticket sales domestically, and the No. 2 film, Bounty Hunter did all right, virtually every other film on the list performed poorly. They include Cop Out at No. 3 with $44.9 million; Repo Men at No. 4, with just $13.8 million; Brooklyn’s Finest at No. 5 , with $27.2 million; and The Losers at No. 6 with only $23.6 million.
