HUGE CROWD ON HAND FOR BECK RALLY

August 30, 2010 by · Leave a Comment

The number of people who participated in Glenn Beck’s Restoring Honor rally in front of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington Saturday was variously reported as 87,000 (CBS), 300,000 (NBC and the National Parks Service), and 450,000 (Beck himself). But whatever the number, the size of the crowd demonstrated Beck’s power to attract a massive, politically active following. Some of his cable competitors don’t attract that many viewers nationally. On Sunday, during an interview with Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday, Beck indicated that the success of the rally will not encourage him to run for president. “Not a chance,” he told Wallace. “I have no desire to be president of the United States. Zero desire. I don’t think that I’d be electable.”
