Instead of distributing its Internet marketing over several web portals for the start of the fall season, CBS is concentrating all of its new-season promos on Yahoo!, USA Today noted today (Monday). In an interview with the newspaper, George Schweitzer, president of CBS Marketing, said, “It’s a preemptive strike in terms of dominating the biggest portal and the biggest site for entertainment in the digital mass market.” Yahoo! users will be able to see clips from CBS shows, behind-the-scenes features, and interviews with the shows’ stars, often by clicking on ads that link to the network’s own sites.
