FOX MAY YANK LOCAL STATIONS FROM DISH

New York area residents who may be considering switching to the DISH satellite service if Fox’s dispute with Cablevision continues unresolved may have to think again — as Fox on Thursday threatened to pull the signals of its local TV stations, including WNYW in New York from DISH’s menu. News Corp, Fox’s corporate parent, is already engaged in a fee dispute with DISH that has blacked out cable networks FX, the National Geographic Channel, and more than a dozen regional sports networks since Oct. 1. Meanwhile, the Fox-Cablevision stalemate entered its seventh day today (Friday) with no face-to-face negotiations scheduled.
