Conan O’Brien has received another cancellation notice from NBC — this time for the legal drama Outlaw that his production company Conaco produced but which attracted few viewers in its Friday-night time slot. Although the debut episode of the legal drama drew 10.7 million viewers in a time period following NBC’s hit America’s Got Talent on a Wednesday night, the show lost more than half those viewers in subsequent weeks in its Friday-night time period, winding up with just 4.1 million last week. Four additional episodes of the series are being moved into NBC’s Saturday schedule — Saturday is the Siberia for rejected TV shows — while another hour of NBC’s magazine show Dateline will fill the Friday time period until another new series can take over.
