NBC has pulled a promo for its controversial new comedy series Outsourced after it turned out that a quote praising the show and attributed to Entertainment Weekly (“a hilarious culture clash”) was actually culled from an NBC press release about the series and another (“it’s a natural companion for The Office“) was from a mixed review, Deadline.com reported on Monday. The promo aired once during NBC’s coverage of Sunday Night Football, before being yanked.
