Two former top media executives are making unexpected moves into unchartered territory. According to the Hollywood Reporter, former Time Warner Chairman and CEO Gerald Levin is expected to announce today (Tuesday) that he has joined Oasis TV as a senior adviser and will become chairman of the company once a series-A round of financing closes. The trade publication described Oasis as “a boutique cable channel that focuses on programing for the rejuvenation of the mind, body and spirit” that is available on-demand in 9.9 million cable and satellite TV households. Meanwhile, former News Corp President and COO Peter Chernin, who most recently was rumored to be in line to take over the reins of Tribune Corp, announced that he’s relocating to Hong Kong where he will launch CA Media, a business that will fund media and sports businesses in Asia.
