Toy Story 3, the movie that sold more tickets than any other film released this year, quickly found a place for itself in the DVD and Blu-ray Disc collections of millions of children last week. According to Nielsen VideoScan First Alert, the movie, which grossed $414.3 million in North American theaters earlier this year, sold ten times more copies than the No. 2 film, the HBO miniseries The Pacific. In its fourth week, DreamWorks Animation’s How to Train Your Dragon, slipped to third place, while Warner Bros.’ Sex and the City 2, which topped the First Alert chart last week, dropped to fourth place. Thanks mostly to Blu-ray sales, 20th Century Fox’s 45th anniversary edition of The Sound of Music came in at No. 5. Among Blu-ray Disc sellers, Toy Story 3 ranked No. 1, with The Sound of Music placing second.
