Episodes from past seasons of ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, and the entire saga of Lost will be available on Netflix’s streaming service, thanks to a deal between the online video renter and the Walt Disney Co. that was announced Wednesday. While several other ABC shows will be be making their debut on the service, all of them have already had past lives in syndication and/or cable. However, Disney said that several current-season episodes from selected shows airing on its Disney Channel and ABC Family will be included as well, although none of them earlier than 15 days after their original telecast. “TV content streamed from Netflix has proven to be immensely popular with our members,” Ted Sarandos, Netflix’s chief content officer, said in a statement. “Adding to our existing Disney-ABC lineup with great network and cable shows, and opening up ABC Family for the first time, are important steps in creating a wide and diverse selection of content Netflix members of all ages can watch.” Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
