PINK PANTHER WRITER-DIRECTOR BLAKE EDWARDS DEAD AT 88
Blake Edwards, best known as the writer-director of The Pink Panther movies starring Peter Sellers, died today (Thursday) at age 88 from complications of pneumonia, Daily Variety reported. He directed — and in several cases wrote — an impressive number of Hollywood classics, including Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Days of Wine and Roses, The Great Race, 10, Darling Lili, and Victor Victoria, the latter three starring his wife, Julie Andrews.
